Former USMC infantry squad leader with two combat deployments to Afghanistan. Over a decade leading supply chain and procurement operations at SpaceX, Amazon, UPS, and EssilorLuxottica across six continents, with more than $2 billion in directly managed procurement spend. MBA in Supply Chain Management; DBA candidate at UNC Charlotte, researching AI governance in public procurement. Brings both builder and buyer perspective to every engagement – AEY doesn’t just source materials, we understand the field conditions they’re going into.

Karl Schaefer
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) and DBIA-credentialed design-build professional with LEED accreditation. Licensed General Engineering and Building Contractor across multiple states, with over $5 billion in delivered construction value spanning commercial, industrial, civic, and infrastructure sectors. Currently serving as construction executive on the $2B+ LAX Consolidated Rental Car Facility. Cal State Chico graduate. Karl’s firsthand experience building complex projects is what separates AEY from suppliers who’ve never set foot on a job site.
